First

The village of Meharpur glistened under a fresh coat of rain, each droplet clinging to leaves and rooftops like tiny jewels. A chilly breeze swept through the narrow lanes, carrying with it the scent of wet earth and blooming jasmine. The soft patter-patter of raindrops echoed against the stone walls beside the small village pond, creating a melody that had lulled Meharpur into a rare afternoon stillness.

"Jhanvi, kya tujhe pata hai, Hukum sa was here visiting," Tina whispered excitedly, her eyes wide as she pulled her friend closer under the awning. "His guards are going to every villager's house, asking if anyone is facing any problems. He's staying in the nearby haveli for a few days."
